A tub transfer bench, (aka: shower bench, transfer chair) is a bath safety device designed to help people with limited mobility get into and out of a bathtub. Transfer benches are usually designed so that one half of the bench resides inside the bathtub while the other half rests outside the tub. Typically, the person using the device will sit on the bench, gradually sliding from outside the tub to the inside and vice versa. The purpose of the tub transfer bench is to assist in safely transferring the user in and out of the tub. By eliminating the need for standing and manually climbing over the wall of the tub, the risk of injury due to slips and falls while getting in and out of the tub is greatly reduced.

Tub transfer benches are used by people who have difficulty getting into and out of the bathtub on their own, usually due to old age, injury, weakness or disability. They are commonly used by those confined to wheelchairs, as well as with elderly individuals and those recovering from major surgery. Transfer benches usually come with suction-tips on one end of the bench to provide additional stability and prevent the bench from sliding.

The Blow-Molded Transfer Bench from ISG can be easily assembled without the use of tools. It comes with large suction-cup feet for added safety, an anodized 1" sturdy aluminum frame and a three-panel blow-molded seat and backrest. The height adjusts from 18" to 23" (seat-to-floor) for added user safety and comfort.

This transfer bench comes with a two-year limited manufacturer's warranty, and can support users weighing up to 300 pounds.
