A tub transfer bench (aka: "shower bench" and "transfer chair") is a bath safety product designed to help users with disabilities, limited strength and/or mobility get into and out of the bath tub while minimizing the risk of injury associated with the otherwise routine task. A transfer bench is essentially an elongated shower chair (shaped more like a bench than a chair) with a backrest and suction cups on two of the legs (the two the go inside the tub).

Transfer benches are commonly used among wheelchair-bound individuals, as well as by elderly and individuals with other disabilities. The purpose of the transfer bench is to help prevent injuries resulting from slips and falls sustained by individuals climbing into or out of the shower.
